First, let me start off by saying that FFVII was my favorite Final Fantasy game to date. This remake was a beautiful reimagining of a captivating story that I hold near and dear. From the gorgeous graphics, the clever writing, the rich character development, and nearly flawless gameplay, I found this game to be a damn near perfect. I especially loved, while battling, you are able to switch between characters. I feel like the developers took the turned based system of the original and gave it a major fave lift. I still felt like I had to plan my moves strategically, but the spectacle of it all kept it from becoming boring. This remake was truly worth the wait and will certainly be a game I will be talking about for weeks to come. Needless to say, I am thrilled for the next installment and can’t wait to see what happens next. I would recommend this one for first timers and for those who loved the original but also have an open mind for new possibilities. 😉
