It's fine I guess. It plays (kind of) and it's pretty average for a Pokemon game. The lag and bugs are definitely real on my switch lite to the point where I actually find it pretty laughable -
my characters eyelids disappeared
their mouth became a large rectangle
my buizel spun around really fast then dipped into the ground but the attacks still worked as normal (and not from the ground either lol from where the buizel had originally been standing, even though there was no pokemon there anymore)
Dialogue overlaps in the text box sometimes if two or more characters are talking
Shadows glitch and jerk around
Npcs float or glide along the ground
INSANE lag even when in a small town or passing by a group of pokemon. The lag is so bad that during that sunflora thing where you have to collect 10 of them, I had to restart my system because the game kept crashing and then freezing on the menu. Once I was finally able to complete the sunflora thing, the lag was so bad that my character was less than a slow walk. That entire part of the game took me almost 30 mins to complete because of how slow I was
The only I really enjoy about the game is the amount of customization you can out into the body of your character. You have the generic "pick a gender" "pick a skin tone" option. But then on another screen you can pick everything from hair style, hair colour, eye shape, eye size, mouth shape, etc it's pretty crazy for a Pokemon game
For the things I don't like -
They advertised "clothing aren't gender locked" as a selling point. The clothing IS NOT like it is in x/y, sun/moon, sword/shield/Arceus. There's no range of outfits at all. Instead, you start with a school uniform that you can pick any 3 variations of (✨wow✨). It's kind of like how it was in the diamond/pearl remakes, only this time you're stuck with the 4 uniform styles and that's it, at least in those ones there was more than 4 options. The colours clash HARD and you look like a dork most of the time lol you can change the accessories all you want though (y'know.. all those socks you loved so much in the other games? Or the glasses with frames so thick you cant see your characters eyes? Yeah those things!)
I hate how the legendary is a vehicle/boat and how they introduced it as a full part of the game so early
They got rid of the ability to enter buildings that don't have a set purpose. I personally never really went into any of the house or anything. I'd just like to know why they got rid of it
Over all if my fiance hadn't spent almost 200$ for scarlet for him and violet for me, I would have gotten a refund
