The first half of the book is the ramblings of the author on various mental health issues with very little talk of the Manson women. When we finally get to the titles subject matter, the author approaches the subject with obvious bias and disdain. The author comes across as a Manson sympathizer at the expense of the women, whom she finds totally responsible for the chaos of 1969. I finished the book out of a sense of obligation to finish what I start, but I feel the time was wasted. Do yourself a favor and skip this book.
