Review Bombing? Really. Maybe it is just a bad product. Quit blaming the fans for the failure that is Disney Star Wars. It is a shell of what it used to be. Acting is atrocious, the pacing is so boring and slow, and the story is incredibly uninteresting. In addition, it is painfully obvious that those involved have never even seen Star Wars let alone care about preserving the identity of the franchise. Instead they would like to play identity politics instead of create a good story. This is the last piece of Star Wars content, product, movie, show that I will consume until the Death Star that is Disney is destroyed by the “chosen one,” the one and only Anakin Skywalker.

I was planning on waiting until the end of the series to write a review; however, after watching episode 4 of this Obi Wan series, I could hold back no longer. What can I say? This show is full of messy plot lines, terrible writing, and a lack of understanding about what Star Wars is all about. Disney, this question is for you. What in the heck is going on? You have the unique opportunity to bring Hayden and Ewan back onto the screen and all you come up with is a story that honestly could've been written by a 10 year old. There are so many inconsistencies within the series itself and within the lore. Do you realize that there is an established canon that has existed for decades, and it is your job to respect it? In all seriousness, people are going to get tired of this charade, and people are going to start to become uninterested in anything you produce in the future. My recommendation? Get some competent writers who share the vision that George Lucas had for Star Wars. Honestly, any star wars fan with a good understanding of the lore would write a much better story than any of the writers that are currently there. The sequels were shocking, the Boba Fett series was frustrating, and now this Obi Wan Series is downright disrespectful to the legacy that Lucas left. It is so disappointing to see so many opportunities go to waste.

This show is mind-boggling and not for the right reasons. It is slow, poorly produced, and the dialogue makes me cringe. Oh and guess what? Once again, Disney has managed to take a beloved Star Wars character and completely ruin it. It makes no sense to me why Disney feels like they have to throw their own spin onto characters that already have an identity (as established in the first 6 movies). The Disney Formula has proven time and time again that it does not produce a good star wars show/movie. In this show, which is supposed to be about Boba Fett and not filler for the Mandalorian Season 3, they have managed to make Boba appear weak, diplomatic, and sympathetic to the people of Tatooine. The Boba I know would not have given a flying flip about protecting anyone other than himself. The Boba I know would have instantly killed the speeder bike "gang," or anyone else for that matter, the second they talked back to him. Yes, he is definitely much older than he used to be, but he still has more than enough years left in him to pack a serious punch. Dialogue can be fun and character development is a must, but it should not have to take 3-4 episodes to set a decent plot. Honestly, it would've been more representative of Boba to have less come out of his mouth. Ultimately, it felt like this show was a major cash grab with no intention of fan service in regards to Boba Fett's character. If I could go back in time, I would have avoided watching this series knowing how they were going to destroy one of my favorite Star Wars characters of all time. I guess the saying holds true, "There's no need to fix something that isn't broken." Honestly, since Disney acquired Star Wars, the only good thing to come out of it has been Rogue One. Everything else has managed to miss the magic that Star Wars brings to the television set. Overall, I felt thoroughly underwhelmed and frustrated with this show, and I am extremely hesitant to watch what Disney produces in the future. For the upcoming Kenobi series, I am going to wait awhile and let others tell me if it is worth watching before becoming fully invested. Will Kenobi once again come to the rescue? I sure hope so, as I am fearful of what Disney may do to him like they have already done to so many of our beloved characters.

Went into this show with low expectations hoping to be pleasantly surprised but boy was I wrong… For starts, it is incredibly slow and boring. Yawwwwn. In all honestly, I fell asleep midway through the first episode. The pacing is horrible. There is no early development for any of the characters (yes I have seen Rebels). The lightsaber choreo is very amateur and cringey. The plot is the same recycled material that we have seen with every Disney Star Wars movie/show. They just don’t get it. They never will with the people who are behind the scenes. At this point they need to stop making any Star Wars content to preserve what little bit is left. Oh, and I am halfway through episode 2 and NOTHING has happened. Believe me, don’t waste your time.
