Friendship through unshared trauma. The movie sets up a curmudgeonly (aka old fart) instructor and a pugnacious (little prick) kid. They don't get along with others and are pretty uniformly disliked; the instructor is much more than the kid. The movie slowly pulls back the curtains and gives us glimpses of the past troubles that shaped them to be the men that they are today. The adoration that they develop over time for one another is beautifully portrayed by our two protagonists. The cinematography is amazing and well-paced. It's definitely worth watching alone or with a loved one. Your problems will melt into the background and a slowly warm feeling (called happiness) will start enveloping you. Watch it with a friend, or watch it with your family. Heck, you could even watch it alone. But i guarantee you, you are going to enjoy it. The movie does end on a high note cause one prick gets called out in the end. PS:- This director is definitely worth following. He seems to have potential.

This is an amazing movie. reminded me of Satyajit's ray's Pather panchali; both from the music and the shot. What I really enjoyed was the kids sense of bravery and a strong sense of right and wrong. Setting out headstrong into this world and figuring this out along the way remind me of what i used to be as a kid. So definitely cant call this movie bad. The movie sets itself up brilliantly, establishing a reason for every shot, though making the movie predictable, doesn't ruin the feel of the movie. At every step I knew what was going to happen next, but I still enjoyed the movie.

The guest book Season 2, episode 8, is painful to watch. They tried to showcase India, but it looks more like "Guess the many stereotypes." If you are American and you 'do' an Indian accent, then let me tell you, "No, your Indian accent isn't convincing." They put a few American actors doing terrible Indian accents on screen. The only thing Indian about them is their ancestors, probably a few hundred generations back; you wouldn't be able to tell from their mannerisms, which again were filled with inaccurate stereotypes. If you are going to pick a stereotype, then try to make it at least a bit convincing.

It's an upscaled version of the Indian movie trapped. I like the original. Stuck to it's roots.

Definitely, not a classic as far as other Hitchcock movies go. The scenes are really poorly shot without much thought. It's definitely a movie that you shouldn't watch twice unless u want to waste precious time.
