Lazy. The majority of the movie is a confusing buildup, filled with the characters making bewildering choices that no sane person would make (like a cliche horror movie). Only at the end does the director pull out all the stops, using typical horror movie tropes to try to be shocking and scary. You lost me at the mom moving from the wall by swimming through the room. I actually laughed out loud.
Not scary. Unnecessarily grotesque. And a story line that leaves you saying “what?! That was it?!” Don’t waste your time. Midsomer was far more entertaining.
