Totally NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL MOVIE! Roald Dahl will probably be Disappointed! 1. The songs were overdramatic! For example the School song, one of the lyrics was describing Crunchem Hall (the school) in unnecessary language Lyrics: "I have suffered in this jail Have been trapped inside this Cage for ages This living 'ell" They didn’t need to sing that! It’s basically saying living HELL which not okay for a kid to say! They couldn’t do PRISON or something? 2. The only literal thing they got right, is when Bruce Bogtrotter ate a giant Piece of Cake! 3. They changed the plot line for Miss. Honey’s parents! Instead of a regular wife and a Doctor, they changed it into a… Escapologist and an Acrobat…? What? 4. Typo on Script: One of the kids in Matilda’s school says "Can you do telekipsis?" (Instead of telekinesis) Either there was a typo on script or that was on purpose? 5. When Matilda mixed hydrogen peroxide into her father’s hair gel it turned GREEN! (When it was supposed to be a Wannabe Blonde) I know this is a small mess up but the little things can mess up a movie 6. Where’s Michael Wormwood? Matilda should’ve had a BROTHER 7. Missing too many scenes: They missed the iconic scene where Matilda makes Agatha Trunchbull feel like the house was haunted by the ghost of Magnus, and furthermore at the ending they messed up with a spelling bee! I don’t recommend you watch the Musical version of Matilda, go and watch original Matilda Movie to understand my thoughts.

It’s okay, I really feel like it was overkill with the voodoo, but Tiana’s dresses and personality were awesome!

It was really great! Although there was a scene where mice were drinking, smoking and there was sexy girl dancing…that made me question of how this was a kids film, but I loved the antagonist and especially his voice actor but I have mixed feelings about this I might edit this review in case I have more thoughts

I frankly don’t know how to rate this…it just doesn’t make sense for the franchise, all of sudden Unicorns, Earth Ponies, Pegasi were AGAINST each other? How did that happen?! They tried to make it better by making the original MLP characters their personality’s…which makes it even more confusing 🫤 I really DON’T recommend because it just doesn’t make sense and because there’s a lot of plot holes…but due the fact that I’m a MLP Super-fan I forced myself to watch it just to understand the franchise more. Ugh!
