Why is it when the powers that be pull the pin on a TV series suddenly they do not for one minute consider the loyal viewers in any way and leave them with an ending like they did in this show. TV channels who take on these shows need to at least let Producers and directors finish a show properly and not leave viewers completely disgruntled when they have invested their time in watching the show. It is insulting and unfair to viewers to do this

What really annoys me about this show is the amount of times the ugly building they are supposed to work in is featured in shots repeatedly as if it is an absolute work of art when it's a monstrosity and it became so repetitive. Also random people with their backs to us walking up corridors or through doorways seemed to be a total waste of time and just padders to make the show longer which again became very tedious. I agree about the actor who plays Billie looking like she is going to burst into tears at any moment. The best part for me was seeing some of the scenes from London being originally from the UK

I loved this program, as being on the last but one boat load of the 'ten pound Poms' it was of special interest to me to see how my predecessors faired. I'm not sure why some people were so scathing of it. Personally I can't wait for a third season to see how these people in the hostel can progress and intigrate into Australian life

After really looking forward to this ? drama especially as it is filmed in wonderful Tasmania that I so enjoyed exploring in my campervan a few years ago, I soon realised I was wasting my time watching it as I was finding it excruciating. Like others have said the children are really good in it and I find very natural Actors. In contrast however, considering it has such an incredible Stella cast of well seasoned Australian actors I couldn’t understand why everyone was over acting like they are in a very bad farce. When I started to read all the glowing 5 star ratings I thought what am I missing here as they are obviously seeing something I am clearly not, but then saw an equal amount of others felt the same way as me. ABC you have put on some excellent Australian drama in the past but unfortunately in my opinion this really misses the mark so would not welcome a second series.
