It is hard to explain the whole movie because of its bizarre imagery, editing style and cartoonist style of horror movie it is a film not everyone will appreciate or understand. But to me it is a phenomenal film of Japanese cinema a hidden horror gem that only true cinema lovers can understand and appreciate. It's hidden message about World War 2 is scary and sad at the same time if you watch carefully the movie.

One of the best samurai movies I've seen. The directing, the style, fighting sequences, cinematography and editing are visually stunning and gorgeous in its way but the main problem of this movie is the unresolved plot holes about the other characters and development of their roles in the story. And also the cliffhanger ending in which it feels incomplete and ambiguous. But overall the movie is outstanding and a never before seen movie of that year it feels modern in its day.

One of the greatest film of 21st century. A must see!!!
