The whimsy gets tiresome in this beautifully photographed movie that has a series of site gags that become predictable. The sound track at times is so annoying that I took my hearing aid out. There is some superb music at the end of the movie. Closeups of the main character also became monotonous. There are a few good scenes--one in a garage where the workers are singing rap music. If you like seeing sunsets and vistas in southern France, you may like the movie more than my wife and I did.

This movie begins well as a neo film noir, but about halfway through the plot takes a weird turn, and the second half of the movie is boring, repetitive, and unbelievable. The acting, however, is superb.
