Watched the entire series purely for Helen Mirren because shes absolutely incredible at everything she does, but have to agree with the age factors mentioned previously in regards to historical accuracy. I mean Helen could put ona touch more makeup & look stunning. There were some historical events that were mentioned, but passingly... if hbo had taken time with it & had more intrigue and the political drama we all know existed in imperialist/autocratic Russia in the late 18th century it would have been sooo much better. I hate today it but the depiction of Paul was probably the most accurate part of the last episode. Would watch again, but with more Helen and less drawn out battles and boring conversations.
