Bought this album as a teenager back in the 60s, unheard, and I was expecting something like Stax or Muscle Shoals. Wow, what a shock. Never heard anything like it before and it took a while to get my head around some of the tracks but it's an album I enjoy going back to. It's a different kind of Soul but Soul none the less. Wade in the Water defines the album and I've never heard a better take on it. Panic Room Blues is exactly that. Listen without fear.
