I liked the character development of the story especially the internal conflicts of lead character Titus Crown. The story was suspenseful and engrossing. The relationship between Crown and girlfriend Darlene was so realistic I wondered if it was based on reality. My criticism of the book is that the actual killer revelation was surprising in that if he was mentioned at all it was only in passing. Some won't like the negative treatment of religion. Author tends to try and impress with a few too many big words. Why do you need to put " atavistic" in a novel? Overall engrossing story and a good read. Hope to see Titus Crown again.
