Silksong is the perfect example of a sequel. In every way, mechanics, game play, items, music, areas. . .etc. its the perfect illustration of how to take a game, and build on it, making it its own unique game while still containing the prequels general play. The areas are incredible, cuz they keep the exquisite art style of silksong, while adding areas very different from the original game, with there own unique vibes, colour-schemes, enemies, and themes, that really set them apart from the prequel, while still maintaining the Hollow Knight's incredible world-building and atmosphere. The tool system was a good way to keep the well made and strategical charms of Hollow Knight, while adding more strategy, and restrictions, which enable you to be creative. The shell shards are a great way to hold you accountable to keep you from abusing the tool dps. The crests are an awesome idea and way to embrace different playstyles and encourage difference in strategy, as well as just personal customobility. The bosses were really fun, some of which add extremely unique fights that really seperate them from the rest of the bosses. The variety in enemies is always fun and matches really well with Hornet's more athletic abilities. The lore is really deep and interesting, and adds really well to the prequel without contradicting like some games. Absolutely amazing game 1,316,797/10 would recommend.
