Shady. Besides the actual movers being decent guys, they (management) were not transparent with the pricing and process. Originally quoted for $681 (which I already thought was steep) for a two bed two bath condo, somehow the final price was $1600 due to “labor costs”. They spent about 5 hours in total including the commute (30min). Almost four of those hours were spent moving out of the first place. We had already moved the majority of the boxes and personal items over before they even came. Their job was to move primarily furniture in which we only had a few large items (2 tables, couch, mirrors, 2 bookshelves, and only 1 bed). After they arrived at the new place they dropped everything off within 45min-1 hour, quickly rushing, so much so that they forgot to fully put the bed back together and my partner ended up falling through when laying on it. After they charged me, (shoved an iPad in my face telling me to sign here and sign there) I realized the price had sky rocketed from the initial two estimates. I expected to be within the $800 ball park. They charged me almost $1100 just based on labor and another $500 for gas and materials. Absolutely ridiculous and border line criminal. I should’ve been more aware before signing, however, I did not expect them to be that untrustworthy as I had used them in the past and they did a decent job and I did not run into this issue. STAY AWAY. Just rent a U-haul or use another service that won’t charge you almost $200/hr plus $500 in additional fees for sub-par “premium” service. We’re completely un-helpful afterwords, and basically told me too bad.
