I recommend you ignore the high score and actually read some of the actual reviews. As someone who hasn't read any of the books, I came into this hoping to satisfy my paranormal series itch (having watched season 1 of From). To put it bluntly, this series is so disappointing it makes me want to cry. Cry because i could see the potential in the story and the characters but non of it was met at all. I assumed from watching the first episodes,the character of Lockwood was supposed to portray a charismatic, suave, smooth talker whose out for glory while hiding a dark secret but the character finally portrayed is as charamatic as a wet blanket. Infact every character is as dull as a pack of half eaten hotdogs. The story is set in a world where ghosts are ranked according God knows what criteria and emphaisis on some kind of night curfew, but you constantly see people and vehicle's going about all night long. clearly the curfew isn't that serious hence the threats posed by the ghosts isn't either. from what I've read in other reviews, this is one of those novel adaptations where you are better off reading the books.

This series became really bad really fast. If you're no bigot but don't like the whole concept of woke culture hitting you at warp speed, then this isn't the series for you. The "me too" bug bit this series sooo hard, you can still feel the fazers that were set to stun still coursing through it's skin. Add in a bunch of "let's please every one " to the mix (LGBTQ) then you have a mess of a story, characters that are unlikable and dialogue that's really cringe.

Really good stuff! I found myself saying over and over again ; that would make a really cool stand alone movie 😂🤙. However it does need you to be familiar with most of the last decades Marvel movies for the alternate story line to make sense. Just a heads up.
