The best part of this movie is that Julianne Moore is beautiful and we are up close in her face for the entire movie. She is a tremendous actress, played the heck out of each scene, and actually the entire cast is full of people who are excellent at their craft. BUT this slice of life story went nowhere. The continuous mundane looks at everyday experiences, maybe meant to represent what women of that age could be going through, did not lend any depth to this character. It didn't explain her choice of someone who showed up in her life rather quickly that she attached to, unless they were both just lonely. The positives, the awkwardness throughout ended up just being uncomfortable without leading us to anything. And the freeing dance at the end left her with no more growth then the person we first saw. I kept waiting to like this movie. I didn't. Not at all.
