This movie...is amazing!
I love how Illumination isn't afraid to include a ragging villain, ready to kill anyone in his way, but during the end, it felt a little stupid when his reason to kill Moon was no longer valid. When his daughter got a part and showed her joy in being in the part, Mr. Crystal should have been happy but I'm glad illumination didn't stick with the same old villain trope most animation movies seem to fall under.
( Literally that one scene where the Villain understands his evil ways and vows to be better.)
I admit this movie isn't perfect, however, no movie is perfect and a lot of us fail to understand the premise of animation movies, animation movies aren't supposed to be logical, they create a world for our dreams to turn into reality, and often or not movies such as this help create dreams and inspiration for the next generation to consider, the movie showed that nothing can be achieved if fear steps in the way of you're ideas and that it could be achieved with dedication and courage to lose it all if it ends up failing. I like animation movies because of this but like I said before, many of us fail to remember this and use logic to ruin movies that should have never been compared to logic since logic ruins the fantasy and magic within these stories.
Anyways, I liked the movie but the thing I didn't like the most was that Clay Callaway's story never got explained, his relationship with ash happened off-screen and each of the main character's stories, in which they fall and develop to create an amazing show never existed, except Johnny and I guess Meena. But the story did get a couple of laughs outta me and I enjoyed it. I just wish they put in a little more time
and effort but we can't have everything and that unsatisfying story may be changed In sing 3. (knowing illumination we might get one)
