This movie was trying so hard to be deep it missed the mark. First on a surface level the terrible accents, the Johnson thing... and the fact that he was played by an American biracial actor bugged me. So I'm to believe two parents from Lagos gave birth to tiger woods with the last name Johnson? But ok. Secondly. What was the point? I wasn't impressed. Seemed like a mash up of a bunch of controversial topics. Race/interracial love, opioid addiction, homosexuality and police brutality with an I'll conceived plot

I find this series confusing. Mildly interesting in the beginning byt I dont understand how he was groomed, manipulated or abused. It seems a little ridiculous to me because he was months away from being 18. It was definitely inappropriate because she was his teacher but had they waited til the end of the school year after she was divorced to date nobody would have cared. 10 years later he's damaged and suffering from what? A broken heart?
