Doesn't begin to compare to Vikings in the slightest. Shocked to see it just behind it in ratings. Mediocre at best acting, leaves you asking lots of questions as to why the characters make certain decisions. It doesn't give you a sense of the scale, theres very few gripping battle scenes, some cgi would not go a miss to give you a feeling of the locations, castles and fights from different vantage points. It's got some of the right recipes but just generally feels too clean and staged compared to the grit and believability of Vikings. If you spent months in a swamp fighting danes how are your clothes spotless and your hair still straightened? The delivery of the lines are a massive let down and make what should be exciting moments feel really cringeworthy. 4/10
