I'll have to keep it here at one star. The show itself feels like a bland Star Trek copy with a Halo sticker thrown on top of it. While it is considered an alternate timeline that takes the show in a completely different direction, a lot of the choices made in the story feel so off. (SPOILER WARNING FOR THE FINAL EPISODE: Biggest case in point being the fact that the Spartans don't even acknowledge the Covenant High Prophets, all three of them mind you, and go straight for the forerunner artifact when they could've had a chance to cut off the heads of the Covenant Hierarchy all in one day.) The show as it is now is a complete dumpster fire of generic Sci-Fi elements that struggled and failed to cater to all available audiences. If the producers and directors had simply applied more effort into looking into the lore of the Halo franchise and went with a spinoff instead, that would actually bring things to a much better state. I am a huge fan if Sci-Fi stories. Anything like Star Trek, Star Wars, Halo, Stellaris, etc, is all fun to look at and engage with. What I feel like most 5 star reviews don't see is the drive or effort put into a franchise in order to try and elevate it past just being a one and done series. Halo used to own that drive, used to put that drive at full speed and set trends, but with this show offering blatant disregard towards talent and effort, even using props that aren't color coated like they should be, or showing a distinct lack of effort in animating action in a way that works, given Forward Unto Dawn has better action than this, then we can see this was just thrown together under a huge budget with no soul and an attempt at using an IP to attract viewership and money. What fans wanted that would've worked, is a good story, a spinoff even, that tackles or tackled issues on the side during or after the Human-Covenant War instead of going directly into it with helmetless Chief and his romance. This is only part of the larger problem, but I'm getting my point across. We need to stop settling for mediocrity both with the current real franchise, and with this. 5 star reviews are what they are. If they enjoy mediocrity, let them enjoy mediocrity. More money to produce mediocrity, more mediocre products churned out day by day, month by month, year by year by lazy corporations who don't care about doing it the hard way and cut corners to keep saving money so they can use it for their own purposes later. I'm done here. Read my wall of text if you wish, but don't expect it to be anything relatively different to how I feel about it now.

I have played this game as a kid growing up. The first Pokemon game I ever beat, and the first I ever played. Platinum more than makes up for the catastrophe that was the first two Sinnoh games. It even holds up better than the DP remakes apparently. In light of the remakes, allow me to offer you my reasons for why Platinum is so good: 1. Improved story that involves Giratina, the master of the Distortion World. 2. Improved Graphics environments from the first two games. 3. More Pokemon to catch in total to complete the Pokedex. From 150 - 210. 4. More Fire Type Pokemon to choose from, no longer limiting you to the use of Chimchar and Ponyta. 6. Access to certain areas sooner than usual. 7. Way better Post-game that allows the player more content and even an improved Heatran quest. All in all, this game I would 100% recommend to anyone who loves Pokemon. It's fun, fairly challenging, the difficulty curve is manageable, and the overall gameplay is phenomenal. 10/10.

While Halo 5 isn't the best Halo game by any means and is treated as the flagship title for reasons why people state that 343 Industries isn't a very good company, I feel like after a considerable amount of time has passed since its launch, Halo 5 has come from being a half-baked generic Sci-Fi FPS with a heavy emphasis on microtransactions, to a game that actually holds a fairly good content count. While the Campaign of Halo 5, which is considered and acknowledged by the Halo community as the worst campaign in the whole series, cannot be fixed, and the player customization has been the worst for a modern Halo game, a lot about Halo 5 has been improved to the point where the game feels considerably more playable for casual players with the inclusion of various social playlists for Matchmaking and Warzone Firefight, which was fairly well received by the community. By and far the biggest advantage and improvement for Halo 5 is the Forge mode, which is the most advanced version of Forge that has ever been made so far. If Infinite brings the Forerunner saga Halo games out of their ditch, I will show more love to Halo 5.
