I’d been a PES player for years, but Konami decided to change its name and make it terrible for 2021. Thought I’d give FIFA 22 a go on PS4, not having that higher expectations after disappointments from previous years. I’m far from disappointed. This is the best FIFA I’ve played for years. Patient build up play, not every shot is a goal (even had a 0-0 game) and the cpu isn’t guaranteed to get back into the game in the dying minutes. Intelligent teammate AI, good defending and many other pluses I can’t remember now. Loads of attention to detail as you’d expect from EA Sports and little touches that make you feel like it’s a real football game (drop ball when ref stops play and stadium announcers being from relative country your playing in). Also lots of customisable settings in edit mode to tailor the games for more your kind of style (5-5 thrillers or hard earned 1-0). Cracking game. Good work EA Sports. You’re back in the game 😉
