Intense acting, as one would expect, from both Gyllenhaal and Jackman! It packs a very gripping story which only gets better as it unfolds. It is a bit long for my taste but the script keeps you wanting more :)

Easily the most witty late night show host of all time! I mean I love Conan, but Craig was at a completely different level!

I'd rate it 3.5, if there was an option! The movie does not pack much but whatever it does, its pretty nicely depicted. It lacked a complete character development and some scenes seemed a little illogical. That being said, I found it thrilling most of the times. It is not a typical cliched horror movie. The actors do their jobs amazingly, especially Riley Keough.

I'm failing to understand how people are enjoying this movie. The characters are two dimensional and very weakly constructed, especially the family. The plot is quite illogical and the scares weren't scary at all. I love horror movies and comparing this movie to The Conjuring or Hereditary, Sinister or Babadook, this fails to deliver in every sense.

It becomes somewhat clear halfway what the primary plot will be about. After that, it just becomes boring. That's not saying that the first half was interesting though. I was waiting for something to happen but the entire movie seemed monotonous. Further, the entire movie is set in an emergency dispatch station and by the end, it became a little suffocating. This is not a one-off thing that I have for this movie in particular as I have previously enjoyed quite a few "single-set" movies. The only good thing was Jake Gyllenhaal's acting.

I watched this movie some years ago and I still remember being absolutely mesmerized by the music and the scenes. It has a great story as well, but it's Eddie Vedder's mind-blowing vocals behind the breathtaking shots that take the cake for me.
