In my opinion, this movie was made not to be "liked" or to feel "satisfied" with the end result. It resonates with our innermost wish for the ultimate justice to a heartbreak - punishment. Midsommar touches on realities in it's own right despite the route it took to get there. Taking into account the uncomfortability this movie promotes, this film was undoubtedly not created for entertainment but to illustrate to us the imagery and expression of grief and what our realities could be if our inner demons somehow successfully avenged our broken spirits.
