I rarely favor remakes. This is an exception. The direction is fast paced by Friedkin, the acting is excellent. Sutherland Is perfect as Queeg. The entire cast deserves kudos. l have seen this remake before. l will see it again!

Fine acting from a stellar cast and director...Reynolds should have been awarded an oscar (probably lost due to his flamboyant attitude at the time). Exellent special effectc/stunts. Over all, a fine film.
