A stunning collection which takes the poet back and forth from the deepest depths of that which must not be remembered to the search for truth that might lie precisely in areas of your life that resist revisiting. These poems are truly metaphysical and yet true to the awakened senses. The tremendous sequence 'Bedlam Variations ' is like Maud written with the insight got from a post-religio-cultural epiphany. A great poet.

This is highly cerebral and formally innovative way of telling the Holocaust story through its administration and successful play at relative invisibility and normalisation. Our revulsion matches the visceral vomiting of the main character on a staircase or the inability to look at the incineration glow over Auschwitz of several characters such as Frau Hoss senior. Brilliant. Hard going.

Do not go to this expecting insight into the Troubles but the film is brilliant technically and a tour de force of direction and acting.
