Enthralling mystery/thriller exploring the unique Australian aboriginal culture. Great acting and special effects - stands the test of time. Richard Chamberlain great in the role, and another masterclass by David Gulpilil, and Nandjiwarra Amagula as Charlie almost steals the show!

While all the accolades for Brando, Eva M Saint, and Elia Kazan are deserved...what about the performances of Karl Maldon - faultless - and the villain Lee J Cobb - SO important to the movie! Great classic film.

Great show, must watch; very different - mysterious, thrilling, great acting & cinematography - set in the khazak dessert and in space. Crime & sci-fi in one very entertaining package. Loved the authenticity lent by the diversity of actors, languages, and exotic location.....oh..and it's a love story! This show has got it all!!

Really enjoyed this film. Beautiful, absorbing portrayal of ATSI culture, a moving story, and highlighting both the trauma of white colonisation on our First Nations peoples and, paradoxically, the precious humanity of the inter-racial bond that ultimately prevails for our two lead characters. Deserves a wider audience. Still very relevant.
