A simply stunning film. A lot of people like to categorize this film as a sports documentary . . . and yes, while basketball is the central theme of the story, it is so much more than just a sports documentary. It beautifully, richly examines so many more elements of modern society beyond the court. The filmmakers (Steve James, Frederick Marx and Peter Gilbert) are my heroes for creating this masterpiece. Best documentary of all time for me.
