Gitonga King'ori (MzalendoDuniani)

It has taken me close to a year to finally watch this film, i never thought it was worthy to watch it since some previous avengers films lacked in critical ways. But today i finally have and man its a great film apart from some stupid jokes that i ignored, this film has a villain that captured my attention, Thanos brought a big fight and a good story with it and made me want to see him loose the fight. Apart from the story being well structured and many characters fitting their roles with respectable performance, the sound design captured me all the way, great job on that! and the CGI was realistic apart from some parts that feel too unreal (try to make the real as possible, its tough work but grabs the attention of the audience). And so I can't wait for the Avengers Endgame. But there's a deeper meaning to the story ...

This film is unique but poorly executed. The title is "Bird Box" which is very central to the story, *** spoilers ahead *** but unfortunately the little birds were hardly used or even seen as that important to the story, the 3 birds seemed like another no so relevant character that could easily be done away with. To make the birds more relevant, the director of this film would have not made the characters have to walk always with blind folds, because the birds would always alert them when the "dark force" is close. If that would have been the case the story would feel more real and authentic that making a character row a boat while blind folded while the birds are silent and there is no danger close.

This movie is great because, it made me laugh, it brought me sorrow and also made me realise that racism is still a BIG issue even in our current time. But it is saddening that racism even as a theme in this film, shows that humanity will never understand LOVE in its TRUE form, we might try to form a belief in ourselves that we love but we are lying to our own hearts, because we judge each other just because of our appearances. The character Tony Lip overcame this barrier and understood what it means to TRULY LOVE a fellow human being. Yet the rest of us we have to go through that change if we want and when we are ready.
