I have not watched the movie. But I was introduced to this Chief Wilma Mankiller in St. Paul at the office of Native American Press publisher Bill Lawrence. He pulled me from my work at the Asian American Press to meet her briefly. She was on her way to Washington. In about 1994 must have been. I believe she worked to get an American Indian breast cancer screening program like the NBCCEDP which led to the BCCPTA. So I think she has helped me to fight like a girl as my own wife needed that program and we carry on her fight. Talk to Keith Ellison and tell him to change his mind and save lives.
