Oh man...sooooo disappointed, Disney! What an awesome opportunity to make an amazing live action out of a holiday classic that would be watched Christmas seasons for years to come! Epic fail! Everything after the 5min introduction just felt sad, negative, strange, and extremely odd. An hour and 45 mins of bad acting, awful costume designs and costume flaws, a confusing story line that actually had no story line at all, and no “The Nutcracker” feels whatsoever! Another Disney movie with a huge emphasis on the death of a parent, this one from start to finish. (My 7yr old cried half way through twice. If that doesn’t scream “Happy Holidays” I don’t know what does.) Very weak main lead as the Nutcracker with barely any story impact, but an adorable leading lady as Clara. Keira Knightley, what the hell just happened??!! Practically speechless. Ballerina, Misty Copeland’s 5 minutes was beautiful and truly the highlight of the entire movie. This one is going to sting a long while for me. Didn’t think it could get any worse after A Wrinkle In Time, but obviously it can.
