Laurs Eggers

I watched the OKTOBERFEST episode on 9/13. Normally I love this show and watch it regularly. However I was appalled and sad to watch and listen to Jeff Mauro make fun of the dress the peasant girls from the Black Forest region in Germany wear for traditional dance. Given the ethnic diversity of the cast of The Kitchen I would expect ALL cultures would be treated with respect. I doubt this sort of "joking" would have been allowed had it been aimed at numerous other cultures. It is only after everyone realizes the unique aspects of every culture and treas others with respect we can truly grow as a society. Shame on Jeff and shame on Food Network. And yes, I am of German heritage and VERY proud of it.
