God, where do I start?
The acting was abysmal, the plot was slow, nothing of significance happened in the first twenty minutes of the film, and I'm more horrified by the director's thought process than the film itself.
What went through the director's mind thinking that a scene where a teenager romanticizes sexual assault, rape, and oral sex (at the age of 10 mind you) important to the plot? It didn't contribute anything to the already boring, slow, unrealistic story.
There were so many missed opportunities to make this film somewhat good. It poked at a lot of sensitive topics such as sexual assault, grooming, etc. yet didn't make an effort to tackle them.
The acting was garbage, to put it lightly. All the characters are dull, and the dialogue was awkward. Often, it feels like they're reading off a script, literally. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the acting felt like a filler to the disturbing scenes in the last 15 minutes.
Do not watch this horribly written, awfully slow-paced, dull movie.
