If you are looking for a disturbing force that will stick itself to the forefront of your mind for months and months, this movie should do that for you. It might be best to wait until January or so though because your year has been rough enough already. But if you still need a "What could make this year any worse" bit of sadism in your life then go for it. Calling this movie disturbing doesn't do it justice. Silence of the Lambs was disturbing. It was memorable too but that disturbed feeling went away shortly after the credits rolled. The Platform will not go away. It will never go away. I'll just bury it down another level. And another.
