Great game so what's wrong? It is missing the core RPG element of choice of adventure. There is no exploring aside from a corridor or hallway... which have little reward. FF is known for open worlds where you might find a cool area and you want to hang out complete some quests or collect items to improve gear or skills. The side quests are tied down to the few towns you come across and they are pretty vanilla. I can't choose to go back to a town to revisit a particular vendor who has that nice shiny thing to save up for or collect enough renown. There is a great base of a game and i have high hopes for the next one. I just hope they add the content previous ff had. Sure this game has enough story... enough to fill 40 hrs. But it is all linear progression. There's no choice in what to do next. A step back in gameplay content but a really good showing if they open it up next game.
