This is possibly the most misogynistic film I have ever seen. And what was with the random extreme violence toward animals? There was some great camerawork, but that doesn't prevent me from now looking at all of the Park Chan-wook films I loved in a new, unflattering light. Not to mention all the men giving the celebration-of-raping-and-slut-shaming-women film 5* and being rude to anyone else who doesn't enjoy that. Just when I thought I couldn't be any more depressed by humanity...

I wasn't super hyped to get another Peter Parker origin story... But this one feels fresh, and is super well done. I always look first to the writing, character development, and relationships — and those all excel here. Honestly, my only minute gripe is that Dr. Strange's moustache should be a half centimeter lower so that it doesn't look like it's growing out of his nostrils. Otherwise, this show nailed every aspect.

After the first two eps: Ahhhh, I'm SO HAPPY so far!! 😍🤩😍 Genuinely funny, I Ioled multiple times (which I don't do much), they got me invested in the characters and mystery, and the Salem Seven are proper scary! The chemistry is sparking in every single character pairing, actually creepy Halloween spirit, and they're setting up emotional arcs that are certain to pay off in tears as the witches confront their pasts and face their futures.

I came in with low expectations, right after having watched a truly terrible film (the new Jurassic World), and was still deeply disappointed. Maybe if it were an hour shorter it wouldn't feel so bad to sit through?

Extremely stylish with some masterful grim-dark cinematography, and there is some excellent acting amongst the handful of characters who were allowed to have a personality. (The Penguin is a highlight; he should get his own film.) Unfortunately, Pattison has been directed into a stupor, a melting statue of whispering angst. This works quite well in the suit, making this the most omnibus Batman to date, but not at all out if it. Bruce Wayne is an empty shell, as is most of the film's dialog. And unfortunately Gordon and others get the same treatment. The film does not need to be as long as it is, and the entire audience had fallen into that Battison stupor, with much sighing and checking of watches, by the end.

Smart, funny, quirky, likable characters, and littered with conflicting clues and details that have me salivating for a rewatch. Love the variety of styles, all mastered here.

Original format not always 100% seamless, but I am in love with the two female leads. Looked forward to every new episode of season 1, and am crossing my fingers for a season 2!

Marvel breaks new barriers in storytelling, creating some of the most compelling content on screen. Emotional, funny, quirky, epic...as near perfection as anything I have seen in a long time.

Great cast and technically good, but with a paint-by-numbers plot that leans toward dreary and fails to make an emotional impact. Emotional beats are set up and then brushed over, and the wine side of the story is riddled with inaccuracies. I have the idea the filmmakers watched the Somm trilogy and tried to covert that into a fiction narrative, without actually hiring a Master Sommelier to consult on how the study really works. Bottom line: I kept checking how much time was left, willing the movie to be over.
