For me, it's the ultimate western. Very realistic, showing the actual consequences of bullets, something sorely lacking in earlier movies. Not that I like violence for violence's sake, but it's realistic in that respect. Great performances by Holden, Borgnine and Oates. And the final shootout will go down in the annals of Hollywood moviedom as the greatest guy battle ever. The slow motion was incredible.
