A beautiful, sensitive film without being over-sentimental or mawkish. The trailer doesn't give away very much, so neither will I except to say that it is skilfully constructed and the performances, especially of Liane Renaud, are excellent. Take your tissues.

A very moving film set against the race riots in England in 1981, it showcases a wonderful old cimena in Margate, Kent. Olivia Coleman is superb as a woman living with a mental illness. But this is just one thread in the film. You'll need to see it to find the rest.

It's not often I walk out of a film but this was so boring I left after 45 minutes.

What a pleasure watching gorgeous Maggie Beer present an unusual side of Japan.

60 years ago I had a boyfriend who played the piano. One night he sat there, wearing a brown velvet jacket and his black curly hair falling over his forehead while he played Chopin's Etude No 3. I felt as if I were in a scene from A Song to Remember and have never forgotten it.

I love a British thriller as much as the next person, but having just watched this series for the third time and read the episodes' synopses, I am none the wiser. This series tried to be so clever for its own good that it disappeared up its own arse. I didn't know where it was going and neither did it. What a shame as I quite liked Shaun Emery.
