Why oh why don't you allow for zero stars or ,even better,minus stars ? I watched this with a person who can't understand English because I thought that the action would be enough for him. I simply can't understand how there is an audience for this kind of crap.

Unfortunately the film adopts all the stereotypes about Greek immigrants in North America, so much so that in the end it becomes laughable . Not that these stereotypes do not depict Greeks in North America in a true light . My objection ,however,is that it is called My Big Fat GREEK wedding when in fact there's nothing Greek about it .And by the way ,they could have done a bit of research on some things like the plaque outside the church which uses a feminine adjective as an accompaniment to the word Ναός, that is masculine. Or Mana Yiayia ( are you serious ????)

Seriously ?Why can't Americans make anything ?

I used to think this young woman had potential but this film has totally destroyed it. The only thing I want to mention is that the protagonist at a young age had no discernable accent but when she comes to 20 years later ,she has a most distinct Australian accent . Ridiculous!

Typical Americanism . Why is everything about this country so laughable ?

The undisputed number one attraction of this series is the gorgeous island of Paxoi. Papakaliatis has always been full of himself and this is no exception. I will ignore comments by puritanical Americans regarding the love affair between the maestro and Klelia and just focus on the bombastic utterances ,supposedly deeply philosophical thoughts so typical of similar Greek series. Unfortunately the many fine actors in the series are victims of this. I feel bad about Maria Kavogianni and the revelation, the number one Greek chanteuse Haris Alexiou ,who give this series its only credibility.

It's disgusting to see such flaunting of wealth in a city where a huge number of people are either living in poverty or paycheque to paycheque
