Not worthy of any stars for several reasons. First of all, as mentioned by many other reviewers, the lack of authenticity with the choice of cast is appalling. If Deepa Mehta intended on making a film to support the minorities that went through the genocide, at least have the empathy to choose a cast that is Tamil and can relate to the sufferings. Secondly, her questionable acquaintance with the man responsible for the Tamil Genocide in 2009 again, highlights her ignorance and hypocrisy. Third, constant gaslighting of the Tamil community from Deepa Mehta and Ava Duvernay. The two have taken advantage of what has happened in Sri Lanka as a money-making opportunity for their own benefit rather than trying to spread any awareness of the situation as per their false claims.
