I thought the story line was good, and perhaps I should have done my homework before going, but I was expecting a lot of action, and that’s just not the case with this movie. I didn’t find it “overly dark”, either. Yes mental health is a topic in the movie throughout, but that to me doesn’t make the movie “dark”. I’m also not seeing this as an Oscar Performance for Phoenix. It’s a good movie, not great
