Possibly the most underrated and underwatched series out there. Perhaps the level of violence and sexual content keeps it out of a lot of "best things to watch" lists but those aspects of the show are really secondary. The writing, cinematography, acting, stunt coordination and music are all superb. The casting of virtually every character through all four seasons is virtually faultless. There are few things that I ever watch more than once but I am midway through this for the third time, it is truly unmissable and yet unfortunately still so relatively unknown.

I don't review things but I had to when someone misguidedly compared it to The Wire. It most definately is nowhere near that standard. I really wanted to like this as I loved The Raid films but on reflection what they didn't need this series didn't have but did need which was a decent plot. Between some excellent action set pieces it was like an episode of Eastenders and I found myself getting bored. Ultimately in the content rich world we live in there are better plotted and acted series available and this has been seriously overhyped, in a word average.

Of all Tarrantino's films I probably enjoyed this the most of the ones he Directed. True Romance is still the best one he has written in my opinion. These two films have a sentimentality in common which is lacking in a lot of his other films. Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie are both excellent in this, Pitt particularly is essentially the hero despite committing a minimum of two murders. If you love films and like Tarrantino you will definately not be disappointed.
