This is not as advertised. Nintendo told us this would be a telling of the great calamity that leads into Breath of the wild but it is NOT! We were promised a story of death and destruction,and thanks to some time travel shenanigans, everyone lives happily ever after and completely erases Breath of the wild from happening! Sure the combat is fun but a smaller cast than the first Hyrule warriors hurts it and a lot of the character feel the same. Lots of button mashing with only a few characters having interesting mechanics to work with. I regret spending $80 On this and should have honestly waited to buy this used. The fact that Nintendo signed off on the story here is really what gets me. BOTW is high art in video games and age of calamity sullied the story we got. If you want a warriors game with Zelda play the first Hyrule Warriors. Its story is silly but coherant. Age of Calamity gameplay is shallow and the story is unforgivable.
