It is becoming a fashion to mock the rich for their lifestyle and make a movie out of it and try to sell it to the masses. I am disappointed with The Menu because in spite of a stellar cast and very very good acting, the story line was very nonsensical and somehow the relation or association with any of the charactery was missing. How come so many guests just behaved like sitting ducks and did not die trying to escape, except for the escort. This just does not made any sense. Even in the real world, people do not behave like this until they are depressed or suicidal. None of the characters were shown to be suicidal, except for perhaps Tyler who might have been suicidal in his outside life as he later hangs himself. We don't even know that for sure. But 8 to 9 other people who had the zest for life and were living full thriving lifestyle, just sat wide eyed watching themselves accept their death and not actually making any effort. This is something I couldn't digestive and that is why the menu inspite of brilliant cinematography, acting and overall set up is a movie which I will remember as disappointing towards the end.
