Let me make one thing clear: Akshay Kumar isn't "playing" a transgender's role in this movie. he is possessed by a ghost who happens to be transgender. If you really have to give the credit, then appreciate Sharad Kelkar who ACTUALLY played the role of a trans-woman. Sadly, he has very less time on the screen but he was honestly the only person who made the entire movie watchable. Not to hate on Akshay Kumar, but his acting was actually poor in this movie and it didn't need that much over-acting. The movie has a very nice message about transgender equality. Love the concept, hate the acting.

If this movie didn't make you cry, then your are clinically stone hearted. The movie itself is a masterpiece and is such a blessing. I watched it 3 years ago and I still can't get over this. Even though the characters were fictional, you could see and feel each other's emotions and how they wanted things to be. The author deserves all the appreciation in the world and so does the entire crew of this film. People complain about the movie sucks and the book is better. I can guarantee you that this book adaptation will NEVER fail you!
