Seeing as how the second Cloverfield movie didn't really have any relevance to the first installment (besides, ya know, "Aliens! Oh noo!") I was pleasantly surprised that this one tries to tie them all together by pulling a cheeky space-time-prequel maneuver, but is again seperate in it's own way. The cast is great, there's twists and turns you don't see coming. A fair amount of gore, a sprinkle of comedic relief and a pretty interesting look on humanity and our relationship with each other and planet earth. I loved it and it's funny to see people saying it's complete garbage. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion and in the end you just have to watch it for yourself and see what you think.
Except for the couch potatoes complaining like they understand quantum theory... The people complaing about the sex or race of the casting are just completely ridiculous bigots, grow up.
I'm pretty sure the people that disliked it only liked the first one cause of the godzilla-esque giant monster aspect. Which is far from the tone of the second movie and this one alike.
