I checked it out as my first Neptunia game after hearing about Idea Factory from Fairy Fencer F which I loved. This game seemed pretty cool at first, I mean, I dislike playing as kids who can magically become super cool but even more than that, an isekai story, really? From what I can tell, the backstory of this game is impressive so I won't insult it but I dislike the isekai aspect which is just... weird. I won't spoil story, but it's just too weird. I had fun for a while considering the anime aesthetic but the combat was quite difficult even after dumping my money into equipment and potions. Farming was slow and no fun at all and there were several annoying battles that are of no benefit. I would have given fewer stars, but I realize my opinion might be from expecting this to be anywhere near as fun as Fairy Fencer F. I might try the previous games though...

Megadimension Neptunia VII

The game seemed fun and although tedious at a few points, I enjoyed overall. The main character is a typical NEET but is honestly kind of cool. He gets a team and clears dungeons called Delusionscapes which are causing the same day to keep repeating where he lives. The dungeons are created by a person whose desires become strong enough to alter reality. And although that's one of the weirdest ideas for a game I've ever heard of, the worst part is that you cant even enter until you find who made the dungeon and 'upset their mental state' which will cause an entrance to appear. To do that, you have to waste like an hour looking all over for the creator which is a real pain. Even though the story is very poorly written in my opinion, I had fun with the overall gameplay and quite a few characters' personalities. The problem with the gameplay though is that while dodging is possible and skill matters to an extent, it'll be ignored with how rigid actions are. And some characters were just so annoying that it almost canceled out the likeable ones. The game was easy enough so I pushed on hoping that it would get somewhat better, but as I did, I ended up coming to a boss that proved too difficult and required that I waste another few hours farming exp. But I just didn't feel like wasting any more time at that point.

Akiba's Beat

I typically enjoy games by NIS but this one was a great exception. All I can say is that the story is terrible. The main character is supposedly some legendary creature called the 'Hundred Knight' who serves a witch (hence the name of the game). The only problem is that it (the knight/main character) looks pathetic as some little brown goblin that's not even cute and can't properly communicate. The witch it serves just sends it to fulfill her mediocre whims but she has no ambition at all and is like a spoiled child. All of the side characters are just as poorly written and really don't do anything either. I enjoyed the gameplay a bit but even that got boring and the leveling system was even more boring and tedious. I kept on trying to finish the game but now I've just given up on having fun with it. There's no satisfaction to be gained from something like this.
