I expected great fight scenes and that was about it. The show also provided an interesting plot that went places I didn't always expect, and character relationships that grew and evolved over time. As someone else mentioned, they definitely should've done more scenes taking advantage of Kai's ability to change his face. And the hip hop soundtrack felt incongruous, considering how few black characters are in the show. Iko's acting is a bit stiff, but he's got good chemistry with the other characters and I do like him in the role.

Another Life is a very tense show that spends a lot of time dealing with moral quandaries and sacrifice. It is like a chunky smoothie that resulted from every scifi trope was placed in a blender, and the tone is all over the place, but the AI and the second in command were very compelling and Katee Sackhoff is bending over backwards to give a good performance. I won't rewatch, but I will check out next season whenever it drops.
