How are there so many positive reviews for this movie? This movie just screams a bunch of old men in a room being like "oo we need to cater to this woke mentality in society. Lead woman badass, co-lead black woman who finds out she is a badass, gay dudes on the good side, lone conflicted alcoholic white dude, evil pharma CEO". It was so obvious and forced it took me out of the movie. The fight scenes had potential but camera work was incredibly sloppy (shaky for no reason, multiple cuts, chaos, zoom ins/outs) like a first year cinematography student trying to give the appearance of action like a discount Michael Bay movie. Super lazy writing, they didn't build any connection to the characters I didn't care who lived and died. And the fact that the characters can't really die make it seem like this nothing at stake either way. Slow motion scene with distracting female vocal audio like a music video or trailer? CHECK! The plot was completely pointless too. Could have easily played out like this: Pharma company: "hey mind if we research your guys DNA? could save a bunch of lives from awful diseases?", protagonist response: "yeah sure that seems reasonable, our reason for living is to protect the people of the world anyways, let's work together". The End. Didn't even know who was the actual bad guy for 75% of the movie. God it makes me so mad people are giving this a good review. What a joke. Charlize is the only thing this movie had, and it was clearly beneath her. Would give this movie 0/5 if I could.
