Bayonetta 2 is everything sequels should aspire to be. It stays very true to the formula of the original game, but still makes some much welcome changes that overall enhance the game experience. It also builds expertly on the plot of Bayonetta 1, expanding the world, giving more backstory, and giving many characters more spotlight they may not have gotten in the first game. And many of the other characters (i.e. Bayonetta, Luka, Jeanne, etc.) have gotten stunning new redesigns in comparison to Bayonetta 1. The gameplay is incredibly fun and has a lot of depth, the Muspelheim battles are challenging yet very rewarding, and each battle never fails to get me excited. I am incredibly satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this game to any fans of hack-and-slash type games, action, or just longtime fans of the franchise and characters.
